Directions traveling west from Tallahassee: On Hwy 90, drive past Interstate Exit 192 at truck stops and continue just past Camping World to the Sunoco Gas Station on left, which is about two miles from the Flying J truck stop. Turn left in the left turn lane at County Road 268 by the gas station and cross over I-10 and then railroad tracks. Just past the railroad tracks, bear right continuing on County Road 268 (MLK Blvd) and drive about 2 more miles to Peters Road on the left. There is a small Joe Bud Wildlife Management Area sign on the right immediately before Peters Rd. There are speed humps on Peters Road so you need to drive slowly and watch for children since this is a neighborhood. The asphalt ends shortly after the St. Peters AME Church on the right. Continue on the dirt road and stay right at the fork. Drive through metal gates and park in the parking area on the left across from the Ranger checkpoint on the right. There is additional parking down the side of the road from that parking lot. There is a porta-potty and a picnic table available in the parking area.
